Dahongpao, the big red robe, celebrated as the non plus ultra of Bohea Wuyi Mountains Yan Cha, perhaps called like that because first drunk by Buddhist Monks or Hermits-Literati who chose the mountains in the Ming-Qing Dynasty as their personal escape from the turmoils of the world. This is the most classic product by Master Xu and his Association of Tea Farmers, a welfare organization who is producing high quality tea in the most traditional way, with only local authentic varieties and organic methods of cultivation. We are good friends and we continue to celebrate this jewel of nature and handicraft together.
Dahongpao Rock Tea from Jingwoshen Community Tea, by Master Xu, Wuyishan, Fujian
Best prepared in porcelain gaiwans sets, with slow precise movements, mindfulness and the awareness of these unique moments of a life which is continuously vanishing.. on a wooden table whose imperfections remind us of this fleeting world of senses and emotions..
the first 3 infusions almost immediately served, after that you add 3 to 10 seconds progressively. I recorded almost 15 infusions in a normal gaiwan like the one we sell from Dehua.
