Master Ye Guan Lian is Fujian Provincial Tea Master and this is his workshop's premiere autumn Tieguanyin, from the hills around Bamian Town, near Youxi, Central Fujian Province. As Cai Xiang, I believe, wrote in his Chalu or Records of Tea in the Song dynasty, autumn tea is very effervescent, crisp, and high quality, almost comparable in fact with the most famous Qingming Tea in early spring. But this is only to a condition: to preserve its quality and to avoid any harm to the plants, autumn tea is best harvested one every two or three years. Master Ye is firmly sticking to this criteria of quality.
This tea is rather sweet, pleasant, with a floreal complexion. I suggest it after the meals for its digestive properties and soothing effects on the throat.
It is best drunk in combination with Dehua Baici Blanc de Chine, like the set we are selling on the website at a very good price.
Enjoy it in meditative and calm, serene settings.
