Classic Golden Tea is brilliant, profound, rusty, lava sprinkling from pre-himalayan terrain, still redundant with tropical moist but also a pinch of red earth melting from siliceous rock, mixed with snow. Letargic, dense, matte, red to orange to ignite a spark of honey moss in within the whole head, trembling with a subtle joy of return to the mother of creation.

It is perhaps my impression but it retains, in stoneware cups I love, the heat and the freshness of nature for a long time. Tinjure Coop, as I wrote on the blog, is a miracle in crescendo. Perfectly democratic and in fact communistic institution, it unites more than 80 tea farmers of small to medium lots throughout the hills at an altitude of 1500 to 2200 meters, distributed from the valley where the leopard and the boa conscrictor loom along with innumerable species of orchids, banana and wild papaya, to the altitude alpine areas of shrub, bushes, isolated pine, cedar and the tea bush that challenges the glacial wind.. Sales dividends are distributed among the members of the cooperative, in addition to social welfare, housing reparations, school fees, the occasional food in surplus, cow sheds in which manure is accumulated and spread on the plantations in a completely organic way. I have never seen such a pristine agriculture and such a rigorous commitment to the environment. It's a relief to see such admirable ecological consciousness. We, from Hermitage, plan to work along with Tinjure for a long time to grow together and improve our lives towards emancipation.

  • It is best infused for 2 minutes to 3 minutes in a bigger earthenware or porcelain pot, in the classic Indian or English way.

    Alternatively, if you use a gaiwan or a smaller tea pot in the Gongfu style, you can steep it for 30 seconds up to 1 minutes and a half, progressively.
