This is an extraordinary tea made by the brilliance and ingenuity of Tinjure Coop., and the young fellows who work in the factory for fair salaries and enjoying their time there, under the supervision of Binita, a local tea teacher and her Master-Guru, Mr. Reggie Godwin, a Burmese-Indian tea expert with an incredible life story and more than 40 years experience between Darjeeling, Assam and Ilam. Pearl Teas are very rare in China nowadays, because of customer preferences, industrial stadardization and difficulties in manufacture that made this shape of tea rather unprofitable for the market. We are happy to promote this one, a unicum among Ilam teas, with sweet flavors of caramel and roasted kiwi and ripe fig and blackberry united with long lasting heat in the mouth which makes it particularly pleasing to have in middle morning or after meals.
Pearl Golden Tea by Tinjure Coop., Ilam, Nepal.
Best prepared with boiling water, in a rough wabi-sabi earthenware tea pot, steeped for about 2 minutes at the first infusions, then progressively add 15 seconds each time.
